Hi, I’m Ciara Hablutzel Oppenheimer,

I am MBACP registered as a psychotherapist and counsellor. Currently, I am training to be a Counselling Psychologist at the New School of Psychotherapy and Counselling (NSPC).

My qualifications are:

• PGDip in Existential Psychology and Psychotherapy from NSPC

• Foundation Certificate in Counselling and Psychotherapy from Regent’s University

• MSc in Psychology from Birkbeck University

• BA in History from University College London

My professional experience includes suicide prevention work at Rethink Mental Illness, winning the HSJ Award 2024 for Best Mental Health Programme in Partnership with NHS. Additionally, I completed ASIST training in Suicide Prevention. I was a bereavement support volunteer at Cruse Bereavement Care, where I worked in a trauma-informed way. These trainings and experiences have enabled me to consider the contextual, cultural, and societal impact on one’s life and experiences.

I have lived in Hong Kong, New York, South Africa and London, so I am able to access challenges that present themselves across different cultural contexts. Additionally, I am curious about how culture plays a role in who we are.

I have worked with clients from a wide range of backgrounds and life experiences, and I look forward to learning about what has shaped you.
